Future Interstates

Congressional High Priority Corridors- all of which are designated as Future Interstates

1 North-South Corridor (I-49) Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana
9 United States Route 220 and the Appalachian Thruway Corridor (I-99) (I-99) Pennsylvania and New York
13 Raleigh-Norfolk Corridor North Carolina and Virginia
18 I-69 Corridor Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas
20 United States Route 59 Corridor (I-69) Texas
36 New York and Pennsylvania State Route 17 (I-86) New York and Pennsylvania
37 United States Route 90 Louisiana
40 The Greensboro Corridor Virginia and North Carolina
42 A portion of Corridor V of the Appalachian Development Highway System Mississippi

Congressional High Priority Corridors - portions of which are designated as Future Interstates

3 East-West Transamerica Corridor This corridor extends from Virginia to West Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and California but only the portion in Kentucky is designated as a future interstate.
5 I-73/74 North-South Corridor This corridor extends from Michigan, to Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. However, only the portion from Portsmouth, Ohio south is designated as a future interstate.
26 CANAMEX Corridor (I-11) This corridor extends from Arizona to Nevada, Utah, Idaho and Montana but only the portion from Nogales, Arizona to Las Vegas Nevada is designated as a future interstate. Please note that the portion from Nogales, Arizona to Phoenix, Arizona is already designated as a part of the Interstate System.
68 Intermountain West Corridor (I-11) This corridor extends along two alignments, from Las Vegas, Nevada to Reno, Nevada and from Las Vegas Nevada to I-80 northeast of Reno, Nevada. However, only the alignment from Las Vegas, Nevada to I-80 northeast of Reno, Nevada is designated as a future interstate.
