Viewing Urban Areas NHS MapsBackgroundSome users have not been able to view the urban area maps that are linked to the state NHS maps. A possible cause is that the Adobe Acrobat Reader is not set up as a plug-in but as a helper application in the web browser. When Acrobat Reader is installed as a plug-in, all PDF files should display within the browser window. When the PDF file displays in a separate window, Acrobat Reader is set-up as a helper application. When this happens, the hyperlinks contained in that file will not work correctly (the Reader tries to look for the hyperlinked urban area maps on your local computer). Adobe Acrobat Reader needs to be set up as a plug-in in order for the linked urban area maps to be visible. SolutionOne solution for now is to reinstall the Adobe Acrobat Reader. The Reader Installer Program automatically installs the plug-in files in the appropriate directories. Once Acrobat Reader has been reinstalled and your computer has rebooted, you should be able to view the urban area maps. To view PDF files, you need the Acrobat® Reader®.
