The Changing Face of Winter

This map shows a the Northeastern U.S., including New England, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, part of Maryland, and parts of Eastern Canada. There is an outline on the map in red that encompasses the historic area (data from 1961 through 1990) where there are winter climates; this spans New England, minus the southern coastal areas, New York, minus New York City, Northern and Western Pennsylvania, and northern New Jersey. Conversely, there is a shaded section of the map indicating late-century areas of winter climate, from 2070 through 2099. These areas are only in the Adirondacks of New York, The Green Mountains of Vermont, Northern New Hampshire, and Northern Maine.
