The eighth activity-based webinar session entitled Activity Pattern Generation is the fifth in a series of technically-oriented webinars which will cover fundamental aspects of activity-based modeling systems. The generation of activity patterns representing an individual's day, and by extension, that of a household, lies at the heart of activity-based modeling system design. Some aspects of daily patterns represent individual decisions, made in a household context, while others are more clearly coordinated across household members. This webinar explores how independent and coordinated activity patterns are represented in activity-based modeling systems, the important concept of "vertical integrity," and the design and policy implications of alternative approaches.
