Case Study:Waterloo, IowaOverviewResearchers at the University of Iowa have developed a methodology to assess the environmental justice impacts of air quality and noise from transportation projects. The methodology uses a combination of census data analysis, vehicle emission models, dispersion models, and noise models in a GIS environment to determine the impact of transportation projects on low-income and minority populations.
