Highway Mileage by Owner, 1993 and 2000
Exhibit 2-2 has two
pie charts that show highway mileage by owner in 1993 and 2000. In 1993, 75.7
percent of highway mileage was owned by localities, 19.7 percent by States, and
4.6 by the Federal government. In 2000, 77.4 percent of highway mileage was owned
by localities, 19.6 by States, and 3.0 by the Federal government.
