Exhibit 7-5

Exhibit 7-5 shows sources of the highway and bridge investment requirements estimates in billions of 2000 dollars. There are two pie charts-one showing the cost to improve highways and bridges and the other showing the cost to maintain highways and bridges-with five categories in each. The cost to improve HERS and model estimates is $69.1 billion, highway classes not reported in HPMS $18.6 billion, NBIAS model estimates $9.4 billion, improvement types not modeled in HERS or NBIAS $8.4 billion, and estimates for missing State data $1.4 billion. In the second pie chart, the cost to maintain HERS and model estimates is $48.4 billion, highway classes not reported in HPMS $13.2 billion, NBIAS model estimates $7.3 billion, improvement types not modeled in HERS or NBIAS $6.0 billion, and estimates for missing State data $1.0 billion.
