Hazardous Material Identification

EVENT_DescriptionTypeEvent_code:

4= Non HAZMAT Spill;
5= HAZMAT Spill; only hazmat codes available

DF_ShippingEntry:

psn ProperShippingName OPTIONAL,

-- Proper Shipping Name as per DOT

-- regulations as found in papers tradeName   TradeName OPTIONAL, Manufactures product name or common name techName  TechnicalName OPTIONAL,

-- the technical name, if needed nfpa-hmis SEQUENCE OF NFPA-HMIS OPTIONAL, any NFPA/HMIS markings found, typically this is found on buildings and stationary containers

-- rather than mobile shipments hazClass     HazardClass,

-- Hazard class and division idenNumber  MaterialID,

-- iden number and reference system

-- used (NA or UN)

-- when this DF is used the lower data elements

-- should be filled out to match the data in this DF notably the: ProperShippingName

packGroup and the TradeName shall match; technical ingredients can also be added here

DF_HazardClass (1)

Use: A classification of material type, code if known, class and division if known. Flags for code and placards being present are also provided (in some events it can be discerned that a placard or product code is present but can not be read due to damage or distance). The basic color of the placard can also be useful, especially during damaged conditions or with untrained observers.

Format:

HazardClass:= SEQUENCE { codePresent BOOLEAN OPTIONAL,

-- true if a material code is present as well placardsPresent BOOLEAN OPTIONAL,
-- true if a placard or label is present class INTEGER (0..9), division INTEGER (0..9),
-- use zero if division unknown or na color-text IA5String(SIZE(0..200)) OPTIONAL
-- in cases when only a basic color or pattern
-- can be determined this field should be used
-- note that for fixed list of colors is given as
-- field reports of color and pattern can vary widely
-- when this structure is used in a message for shipping papers
-- the 'present data elements should be set to false or optionally not sent
-- the color_text element should also not be sent or left blank}

Carrier Identification   DE_ComReg (1)

Use: Commercial registration values found on commercial vehicles from one or more States (or other registration authority) with which the vehicle is registered.

Format:

ComReg ::= IA5String (SIZE(0..200)) -- the textual format of the commercial registration string -- e.g. "US DOT 123456" "ICC 123456" "CA 12345" "TennDOT-1234" -- numbers without letter designations should be avoided -- pure numbers will be presumed to be US DOT values, -- there is a great variety in the designation found here, it is the -- responsibility of the CAD system to sort them all out and further -- classify the input into whatever structures may be needed

SAE J2313: Identity-Carrier-ID (1)

This element is used to convey other descriptive characteristics of a vehicle that are not codified in other data elements. This includes such descriptive characteristics as "Winnebago" or information about other markings found on vehicles such as a carrier's name or "U-Haul" etc.

The vehicle-data flag in the sender flag data element shall be set if this data is available in a message.

Identity-carrier-id :: = IA5String (SIZE(0..254))-- ASCII free text field.

Injury Severity

EVENT_IncidentHumanInjuries_code:

0=Other No Additional Information;
1=Other Additional Information;
2=No Injury;
3=Possible Injury;
4=Non-incapacitating;
5=Incapacitating;
6=Fatality;
7=Died Prior;
8=No Person Coded in the Crash;
9=Unknown Injury Severity; Select values from list and make multiple selections as necessary

DE_Accident_Severity_Code (2)

Use: The severity of an accident, based on the most intense injury to any person or, if none were injured, so designating. Definition taken from ANSI-D20, revision of which shall take precedence for this element.

Format:

AccidentSeverityCode ::= ENUMERATED { fatalAccident (1), incapacitatingInjury (2), -- incapacitating Injury Accident nonIncapacitatingInjury (3), -- non-Incapacitating Injury Accident possibleInjury (4), -- possible Injury Accident nonInjury (5), -- non Injury Accident -- a property damage only Accident unknown (9), ... }

Note: For P1512 data types, the prefix "DE_" identifies an individual data element. The prefix "DF_" identifies a "data frame", which is a combination of data elements, some of which are identified externally to the standard.
