HOV Types:

  • 1 = Exclusive HOV lanes;
  • 2 = Normal through lane(s) used for exclusive HOV in specific periods;
  • 3 = Shoulder/Parking lane(s) used for exclusive HOV in specific periods.

HPMS only allows for the reporting of one type of HOV lane per section e.g. a section with HOV types "2" & "3" could be coded as either "2" or "3".
