2003 AASHTO Value Engineering Conference

July 15-18, 2003, Tampa, FL

This one-stop source of information will cover the transportation industry's best practices for value engineering.

Contact: Kurt Lieblong at the Florida Department of Transportation (DOT), 850-414-4787 (fax: 850-414-4796; email: kurt.lieblong@dot.state.fl.us) or Ellen Sliger at Florida DOT, 850-414-4795 (fax: 850-414-4796; email: ellen.sliger@dot.state.fl.us). Information is also available at the conference Web site (www11.myflorida.com/qualityinitiativesoffice/projectmgmt/value.htm).

Symposium on Aging of Pavement Materials

July 16-18, 2003, Laramie, WY

This interactive symposium will feature about 20 invited speakers on the subject of the aging of pavement-grade asphalts, aggregates, and mixes. Participants are also encouraged to bring overhead slides and/or CDs and to share pertinent information and research results. The symposium is sponsored by WRI and FHWA.
