Infrastructure Innovation WebinarsThese free Webinars provide a quick introduction to the latest infrastructure innovations and technologies. Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil Integrated Bridge System (GRS-IBS) Design GRS-IBS Case Histories Sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) National Highway Institute, the Webinars provide practical information on the implementation of GRS-IBS. This technology is accelerating bridge building by alternating layers of compacted local soil and sheets of geotextile fabric reinforcement to build abutments and provide support for the structure. The result is bridges that are both extremely durable and cost effective, with costs potentially reduced by 20 to 60 percent.
