Innovative Pavement Maintenance Showcase Workshop

This 1-day workshop will cover such topics as pothole repair and crack sealing for asphalt concrete pavements and spall repair and crack resealing for portland cement concrete pavements. New technologies, such as the Iowa vacuum joint seal tester, and the benefits of implementing preventive maintenance strategies will also be discussed.

Control of Snow and Ice Showcase Workshop

The workshop will provide a thorough evaluation of SHRP-developed products for snow and ice control, such as snowplows, snow fences, road weather information systems, anti-icing strategies, and methods for evaluating deicing chemicals.

Alkali-Silica Reactivity (ASR) Showcase Workshop

This showcase workshop is designed to give participants hands-on training in identifying and mitigating the effects of ASR-induced deterioration in portland cement concrete. The workshop includes lectures, demonstrations, and a field trip and covers such topics as how to test for ASR in the field and how to avoid ASR in new construction.
