This rectangular relief map, about twice as long horizontally (east-west) as it is vertical (north-south), calls out the major features of the Hoover Dam Bypass Project. The Colorado River, in blue, appears in a crescent shape about one-third of the way from the right-hand side of the map, occupying a roughly north-south orientation. The dam, in white, appears about one-quarter of the way down from the top of the map. The bypass, marked by a thick brown line, undulates unevenly but moderately across the length of the map before turning south and crossing the Colorado River downstream from Hoover Dam and extending to the bottom of the map near the right-hand side. U.S. 93, a thinner brown line, roughly parallels the bypass but has sharper curves. Yellow dots mark bypass features and points of interest, with labels in white. From left to right, the first yellow dot cites "Begin Project," and the next three dots on the bypass cite "Wildlife Crossings." The second Wildlife Crossing dot (the third dot on the map overall) is also labeled "Nevada Interchange," as this is where the bypass and U.S. 93 connect. The third Wildlife Crossing dot also has a second label: "Canyon Crossing." Between the second and third Wildlife Crossing dots, and above them, a dot on the thinner brown line cites "Existing U.S. Highway 93 & Hoover Dam Access." The next three dots on the bypass are each colabeled "Wildlife Crossings" and "Grade Separations." Above the first of those dots, and above U.S. 93, is a dot labeled "Reclamation Warehouse & Storage Yard." Farther along the bypass, but just off it to the north, are dots denoting "Switchyard Facility" and "Parking & Viewing Trail Access." Just west of the river is a dot citing "Wildlife Crossing." Two dots appear on the bypass bridge over the river; they are labeled "Viewing Walkway" and "Colorado River Bridge." Just to the north of the bridge, a dot cites the "Visitor Center" at the Hoover Dam (also labeled in white) along the existing U.S. 93. Continuing east of the river, two dots south of the bypass are labeled "Sugarloaf Mountain" and "Sewage Evaporation Ponds." Next, two dots far apart on the bypass cite "Wildlife Crossings." The first of these is also labeled "Canyon Crossing" and the second "Arizona Interchange," where the bypass connects with U.S. 93. Just to the right of the interchange, a dot cites "Kingman Wash Road." Finally, on the bottom map border, to the far right, a dot cites "End Project."
