Crack sealing and filling on asphalt concrete pavements is a commonly perfonned highway maintenance operation. The Strategic Highway Research Program's (SHRP) H-I06 crack treatment study was part of the most extensive pavement maintenance experiment ever conducted. The information derived fi.-om this study will contribute greatly toward advancing the state of the practice of crack treatments on asphalt-surfaced pavements.
This report provides information to pavement engineers and maintenance personnel on the results of the R·I 06 crack treatment experiment. It presents the perfonnance and cost-effectiveness of various crack sealing and fiiling materials and procedures for repairing cracks on asphaltsurfaced pavements.
This report will be of interest to anyone concerned with the maintenance and rehabilitation of asphalt-surfaced pavements.
