The overall goal when calculating a mortgage interest differential payment (MIDP) is to compensate for increased mortgage interest cost needed to purchase a comparable replacement dwelling. The following tools have been developed to assist practitioners in computing the MIDP in accordance with 49 CFR 24.401(d) and Appendix A for §24.401(d).
