Infrastructure Research and Technology Strategic Plan and Roadmap
Project Description: The Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) will document 8 to 10 bridges with measured drawings, historical reports, and large-format photographs. Documentation will be developed using experts in the field of cultural resource documentation and through the Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) intern program, now in its 39th year, in which talented students prepare HAER records. Included in the historical reports on certain bridges will be detailed engineering analyses assessing truss behavior and performance characteristics.
