Infrastructure Research and Technology Strategic Plan and Roadmap |
| Project Description: | This project focuses on assessing the structural performance of deck-level ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) connections between prefabricated concrete components. The program includes the physical testing of six unique test specimens. Cyclic and static structural loadings were applied to the test specimens, performance was monitored, and conclusions were drawn. |

| End Date: | November 1, 2010 |
| Funding Amount: | $200,000.00 |
| FHWA Program Name: | Ultra-High Performance Concrete with Ductility |
| Goals: | Investigate the performance of ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) when used as a field-cast grout in deck-level connections between a prefabricated bridge deck and decked girder elements. The goal is to facilitate the use of Prefabricated Bridge Elements and Systems (PBES) technology by engaging advanced cementitious materials to address specific concerns, which hinder widespread use of PBES. |
