Project Description:This project will conduct field evaluations using pedestrians to the effectiveness of adding a flashing DON’T WALK symbol to pedestrian countdown signals and the ability of those with low vision to comprehend and detect such symbols.

To provide empirical evidence of the effectiveness of adding a flashing DON’T WALK symbol to pedestrian countdown signals and the ability of those with low vision to comprehend and detect such symbols.
