Geotechnical Inspector Qualification Program
Description:
The Drilled Shaft Foundation Inspection course was developed to provide a basis for local, regional, or national qualification of drilled shaft foundation construction inspectors. The course follows recommended FHWA specifications and practices for drilled shaft construction. This course may be modified to follow local agency
specifications and practices.
Presentation of the course is in an interactive format so that the participants are actively involved in the learning experience. A two-hour qualification exam is administered on the third day of the course.
Objective:
Provide drilled shaft foundation inspectors with practical knowledge of standard industry practices for the inspection of drilled shaft foundation construction.
Target Audience:
Construction Inspectors who are responsible for or involved in the inspection of drilled shaft construction.
Course Administration:
Course is available through the Regional Certification Groups and directly through the National Highway Institute.
