Once again, we thank the membership and their management for the support of this Committee’s activities. We look forward to a productive meeting, and to the active participation of all attendees.
In an effort to look to the future, we have the opportunity to schedule next year’s SCEF meeting in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the International Bridge Conference (IBC) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. That conference will be held June 2-4, 2008 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Primary lodging will be at the Westin Hotel, which is across the street from the convention Center and connected to it by a pedestrian bridge.
The room rate will be $159 per night plus tax, with a limited number of reduced government rate rooms at $100 per night. Information about the Center may be found at: www.pittsburghcc.com/html/index.htm and information about the conference may be found at: www.eswp.com/bridge.
At this time we would like to receive feedback from members as to their preference for meeting at the IBC next year. The meeting would tentatively be held either on Sunday evening, June 1st, Monday evening, June 2nd, or Wednesday afternoon, June 4th. Please notify us of your preference by August 24, 2007, either by phone (410) 962-3648, or by e-mail: email@example.com.
