Attached is a copy of the agenda for the subject meeting, which will be held on Wednesday morning, February 9, 2011 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Hershey Lodge and Conference Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The meeting will precede the 44th annual Mid-Atlantic States Quality Assurance Workshop (QAW), which will be held at the same hotel from February 9th to the 11th. It is highly recommended that participants at the SCEF meeting also attend the QAW. Please note that registration is not required for the SCEF meeting, however, it is required for the QAW. Attendees are asked to check the website www.midatlanticqaw.com for details about lodging and the QAW.
Recognizing that several members may be operating with very limited budgets and are unable to attend in person, we have made arrangements for this meeting to be conducted as a teleconference call over a limited number of phone lines. The dial-in number for the call is 888-675-2535 and the access code is 3285411. Members are asked to notify us as soon as possible if they plan to take advantage of this setup for the meeting.
Reference is made to the 8:20 am agenda item regarding the status of DOT action plans for implementing the FHWA Every Day Counts initiative regarding prefabricated bridge elements and systems. We ask that each DOT designate a representative to the meeting who will be able to verify this status with appropriate individuals within their department.
Those individuals on the agenda making PowerPoint presentations are requested to please email a PDF version to us by Friday, February 4th, in order that we may distribute it to the membership in advance of the meeting. This will allow members calling in to the meeting an opportunity to follow along as the presentations are being given on site.
Each subcommittee chairman is requested to report on the results of their respective group’s recent meetings, including resolution of action items contained in minutes of the last SCEF meeting.
We look forward to another successful turnout and to the active participation of all members at the meeting. Please notify us by Friday, February 4th whether you will be attending the meeting in person, or would like to phone in by teleconference. Questions or suggestions for additional agenda items may be referred to firstname.lastname@example.org or (410) 962-3648.
