Transportation Infrastructure Center Director
University of Missouri-Columbia
Charles J. Nemmers, PE is the Director of a newly formed Transportation Infrastructure Center at the University of Missouri-Columbia where he is working with people and organizations both inside and outside the university to help improve transportation through research, training and technology transfer initiatives. He comes to Missouri from a 31 year career with the Federal Highway Administration where he served as Director Office of Engineering R&D (1993 -98), Division Administrator in New Jersey, Georgia and Delaware as well as several other career assignments in California, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Colorado, Louisiana and Washington, DC. He his a Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado, and a Civil Engineering graduate of Marquette University with a masters from The Ohio State University.
