Joe V. Zdankiewicz is the Geotechnical Engineer for the Illinois Department of Transportation's District Nine. Mr. Zankiewicz attended John A. Logan College, Carterville, Illinois from 1981 to 1983 and graduated with a B.S. in Geological Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1985. He has been employed by IDOT District Nine since 1985 and has served in the position of Geotechnical Engineer since 1992. During his career as Geotechnical Engineer, he has worked on several major ground modification and seismic retrofit projects involving the design and construction inspection of micro-piles, compaction grouting, vibro-compaction and vibro-replacement stone columns.
