Howard Hill received a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Illinois in 1988. Since that time, he has been a structural engineer with the firm of Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates. During his tenure with WJE, Mr. Hill has specialized in structural issues related to existing construction. Past projects include: investigation of structural failures, post-earthquake damage assessments, seismic evaluation of existing structures, evaluation of distressed structures, and the design of repairs and seismic retrofit. Mr. Hill supervised the preparation of a two-day ASCE seminar on earthquake engineering fundamentals. He is a licensed structural engineer in Illinois and California.
