Drawing of a bridge
About St. Louis

If you plan to arrive for the conference on Saturday, or are looking for sites to visit during free evenings, you will find plenty to see and do in St. Louis. The conference hotel is located in historic Union Station. No longer in operation, Union Station was, when it opened in 1894, the largest single-level passenger train terminal in the world. It is now home to a multi- level shopping and dining attraction. MetroLink, St. Louis' light rail system can take you from Union Station to other historic sites at Laclede's Landing on the St. Louis riverfront. While there, be sure to check out the Eads Bridge. The bridge, completed in 1874, was the first railroad bridge to span the Mississippi River. Yet another downtown landmark is, of course, the 630-foot-high, stainless steel Gateway Arch.
