TCSP Accomplishments

With the award of FY 1999 grants and initiation of the first round of projects, the TCSP program is off to a strong start. The FY 1999 projects represent a variety of innovative approaches to link transportation and community planning. New partnerships already have been formed and new ideas generated. Each project includes an evaluation component, and the results - including successful examples as well as lessons learned - will be disseminated. As the first round of TCSP projects is implemented, the results will help communities better understand and address the important relationships among transportation investments, land development patterns, and community livability.
