Track D: Broadening Participation in Transportation Decision-Making |
| This session consisted of four separate presentations that followed a path from a single project, through an area-wide project, to the potential contributions that can be made by Community Development Corporations (CDCs) to the TCSP program, and to the means for effectively broadening participation in TCSP projects. The panel discussed many of the issues faced as they deal with the ongoing subject of building cooperative partnerships. Issues addressed included when to start to involve the public, who to involve and how to attract different groups, how to generate and keep the interest level high, and how to incorporate economic and environmental justice considerations. |
