Bar-B-Q
Located between 8th and 9th on Red River, Stubb's serves good barbecue using

Iron
Works
Located on Cesar Chavez and Red River, Iron Works serves great barbecue. View

The
County Line
Set in old lake lodge, the County Line on the Lake is right on Bull Creek just
off Lake Austin, and has been well known for years as The place in Austin to
take out-of-town guests.Cocktails on the large redwood deck overlooking the
water are a must.

Lick
As you enter the front door, look to your right for a glimpse of one of the
few open pit BBQ's left in Central Texas. Family style meals are served on
the long picnic tables and feature pork ribs, brisket and sausage. Bring your
own alcoholic beverages, because Hays County is dry. Top off your dinner with
our homemade blackberry or peach cobbler.

Located between 11th and 12th on Red River, Cafe Serranos specializes in TexMex.

Loacted on 6th and San Jacinto, the Old Pecan Street Cafe serves traditional
American and Southwestern food, including its chargrilled steak, in a peaceful

Mike's Pub
Located on 7th and Brazos on the second level, Mike's Pub lets you wash down
a greasy burger with an ice cold beer.
1886 Room
Located on 6th in the Driskill Hotel, the fancy 1886 Room is definitely a location
set to impress.

Information
Highlights state-wide traffic information, such as road closures and conditions. CapMetro
Transit
Visit the Capital Metro homepage to gain information about route details
and fares. Ride the Dillo trolley-busses downtown for free. Most busses
have bike racks. Fares on regular Capital Metro and UT buses are $0.50 (non-UT students
can ride the UT busses). Express routes cost $1.00. All busses are free
on Ozone Action Days. Here is a link to maps of the bus
routes. FHWA provides a free monthly bus pass to employees who use the bus to
travel to the office. In addition, reimbursment is available for qualifying

parking is available underneath the I-35 bridge (about 3 blocks from the
building). The lot fills up at about 6:30 am. For the most part, cheaper parking lots are located outside; the more
expensive ones are in enclosed garages. You may either pay on a daily

Meter parking is available around the Federal Building. Be aware that
most meters have a maximum of 4-hour time limit. The vehicle must then
