FHWA concurs in award of vital Richmond's West End project
On March 21, 2006 FHWA concurred in the award to English Construction Company in the amount of $49,075,223.40 for the construction of the I-295/64 Interchange Modification at Short Pump. This project will upgrade the existing interchange with the construction of a flyover ramp that will connect the EB I-64 movement to NB I-295 as well as the addition of auxiliary lanes between the I-64/Route 288 interchange both in the EB and WB directions and other ramp geometry improvements. The project also contemplates the widening of Pouncey Tract road located in the vicinity of the interchange.
