The Right-of-Way Section is responsible for Federal oversight of eligible Real Estate and Right-of-Way functions for highway and transportation related projects throughout West Virginia. Working with our partners, the WVDOH, we provide guidance and direction on: Acquisition and relocation functions under the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Act, Appraisal functions, Property Management, Right-of-Way disposal, Settlements, Advance acquisition of Right-of-Way, Air Space agreements, Corridor preservation, Federal Land transfers, Outdoor advertising control, and the Highway Beautification Act.
