EDC-4 Pavement Preservation When/Where Peer Exchange Report General Interest: provides practical guidance to engineers responsible for the day-to-day design, construction, rehabilitation, maintenance, and management of pavements.

Description: This report summarizes the proceedings of the Every Day Counts (EDC) 4 When/Where Peer Exchanges hosted by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The Peer Exchanges were held in Denver, Colorado on April 3-4, 2018; Atlanta, Georgia on April 11-12, 2018; and Rocky Hill, Connecticut on April 17-18, 2018. The Peer Exchange meetings consisted of presentations by agencies and discussion on pavement preservation When/Where including: experience with Pavement Preservation When/Where, strategic level selection and evaluation, pavement management system role in pavement preservation, pavement preservation from an asset management perspective, pavement preservation evaluation/decision tools, how to measure success, and using the products of the project. A total of 41 participants from 23 agencies as well as FHWA representatives and the consultant team participated in the Peer Exchanges.
