Performance Dashboards and Scorecards

  • TPM Comparative Benchmarking Platform
    Developed as part of NCHRP Report 20-118, this platform supports comparative benchmarking among state DOTs. It enables users to quickly evaluate their agency’s performance relative to peers on pre-determined measures. The platform will provide a centralized and standardized way of viewing performance on multiple transportation performance measures.

Safety, Mobility, and Congestion

  • Arkansas DOT (ARDOT) Target Setting – Safety Factsheet
    This fact sheet from Arkansas DOT (ARDOT) collects a variety of information on ARDOT's performance measure target setting for safety, per 23 CFR 490.207. The fact sheet includes information about ARDOT’s methodology, and also compares 2019 targets to trends in previous years.

  • Rural County Pavement Preservation Planning in Minnesota – 2018 San Diego TRB TAM Conference
    This presentation from the 12th National Conference on Transportation Asset Management is an account of Rural County Pavement Preservation Planning in Minnesota. The presentation lists challenges usually encountered by local rural counties in pavement preservation, and ways to overcome them using management strategies, data tools, prioritization planning, and specific funding sources.

  • North Dakota DOT – Transportation Innovations Program Website
    The North Dakota DOT Transportation Innovations Program, or TRIP, is a new program to identify and implement innovative ideas in transportation projects, processes and products. The homepage includes a summary listing of such innovations and contains links for users to submit new ideas.
  • AASHTO Names Vanguard Winners
    Collin Castle of the Michigan Department of Transportation and Alison Ragan of the Wyoming Department of Transportation were named the winners of the 2018 Transportation Vanguard Award during the annual meeting of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials in Atlanta Sept. 20-24, 2018. This award recognizes State DOT professionals at the forefront of new developments and technologies. Both Mr. Castle and Ms. Ragan are heavily involved in bolstering their respective state’s ITS programs through performance management and other innovative techniques.

  • APTA’s 2018 Industry Leadership Summit
    This event will occur November 27-29, 2018 in Washington, DC. It brings together public transportation leadership—transit agency CEOs, general managers, and other agency leaders from the C-suite; transit board members; and business executives—for a dynamic event that focuses on the issues and trends transforming our industry: disruptive market forces, the rapidly evolving mobility landscape, and the mid-term elections, just to name a few. These issues, and how we address them, will define 2019 and the years beyond.
