Description The Illinois Department of Transportation will incorporate prefabricated deck panels with Ultra-High Performance Concrete connections in the reconstruction of the bridge located on Campground Road over Interstate 57 in Jefferson County, Illinois. The project includes replacement of the bridge superstructure utilizing innovative technologies such as prefabricated bridge elements and systems and high performance materials. The new structure will be a deck on beam system with full depth prefabricated deck panels with ultra-high performance concrete connections. The reconstructed bridge will have increased load carrying capacity and will enhance safety by providing a wider roadway and increasing the clearance to the interstate highway below.
