Description

This project rehabilitated a structurally deficient bridge located on NH Route 107A over the Pan Am Railway in East Kingston, New Hampshire. Ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) connections between prefabricated bridge units (PBU's) were utilized in conjunction with accelerated bridge construction (ABC) techniques to replace the existing superstructure.

The objectives of this project were to minimize impacts to the traveling public using ABC and PBU's and to extend the service life of the bare concrete deck connections through the use of UHPC.
