After review of FHWA Order 1310.2, Business Modernization Mapping (BMM), issued November 1, 2006, we have determined that this Order should be cancelled and removed from the active FHWA directives Website. This policy is not in line with current Departmental policy for Enterprise Architecture (EA). FHWA will instead adopt and follow the guidance as outlined in the DOT Order 1351.27, Enterprise Architecture (EA) Policy, signed on April 19, 2013.

Further, with the move to streamline IT management policy to the extent possible across the Department, FHWA will issue implementation guidance to describe how the DOT Order 1351.27 will be implemented within FHWA.

Therefore, we request your approval to cancel Order 1310.2. With approval, we will notify the directives program manager in HCFB-32 to officially cancel the Order and remove it from the active FHWA directives Website.
