FHWA MoDOT implements control procedures through the use of sign permit and sign inventory processes, and periodic surveillance of the controlled routes, in order to discover illegal signs and monitor other signs and areas controlled by Highway Beautification Act. The FHWA Division Realty Officer is responsible for oversight of the state’s OAC program.
