This figure demonstrates the process of real-time modeling of transportation impacts used by SLOCOG. Workshop participants provide input to a GIS operator, who uploads it to a web server. It is then downloaded to Excel, which macro-reformats the data, which is input into the traffic model. The traffic model is run and outputs a flow map and an Excel table. These are incorporated into a Word document, printed, and distributed to the workshop participants. The process can then be repeated.
