Public Involvement

The Cambridge Systematics study team has recommended a plan of public involvement to use in gaining input for an eventual determination of Study Alignments and Design Levels (Task 7). The Study Team has taken input from the expert working group, in determining their public involvement recommendation. The plan will cover the public involvement activities in Phase I of the study. The 14th Amendment Highway Corridor Study is being conducted for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and will be submitted to Congress pursuant to Section 1927 of the Federal transportation authorization legislation known as SAFETEA-LU. The 14th Amendment Highway is proposed to extend from Augusta, Georgia to Natchez, Mississippi, servicing intermediate cities
of Macon and Columbus, Georgia, and Montgomery, Alabama.

Please join the 14th Amendment Highway Corridor Study Team for a webinar on June 8th. The study team will present a summary of all work completed, including study background and corridor data, alignment options, design levels, and cost estimates. All participants will have an opportunity to comment and ask questions.
