2008 Highway Quality Conference

November 6-7, 2008, San Antonio, TX

Sponsored by the National Partnership for Highway Quality (NPHQ), the conference's theme is "Building Highway User Support." Topics will include how to establish highway quality partnerships, maintain highway quality in fiscally challenging times, and raise the quality bar for workforce development.

FHWA 2008 Regional Asset Management Conference

November 13-14, 2008, Memphis, TN

The final conference in this series of free regional events is designed to bring the latest transportation asset management technologies, research, and best practices to State, Federal, and local practitioners and others across the country.

2008 Road Dust Management Practices and Future Needs Conference

November 13-14, 2008, San Antonio, TX

Sponsored by FHWA and the Western Transportation Institute at Montana State University, the conference will discuss current road dust management practices and define future needs and research priorities. Environmental impacts and cost benefits will also be covered. The conference is aimed at representatives from Federal, State, and local governments; transportation agencies; industry; tribal agencies; and the military, as well as researchers.

Transportation Research Board (TRB) 88th Annual Meeting

January 11-15, 2009, Washington, DC

More than 10,000 transportation professionals from around the world will gather at the meeting to share perspectives on current developments in transportation research, policy, and practice. The central theme for the 2009 meeting is "Transportation, Energy, and Climate Change."

2009 Design-Build in Transportation Conference

April 1-3, 2009, Baltimore, MD

Join transportation leaders in discussing lessons learned in the use of the design-build project delivery method for transportation projects. The discussions will cover choosing the right delivery method, contracting approaches, risk allocation, and performance contracting. The conference is cosponsored by FHWA, AASHTO, and various industry groups.

National Conference on Preservation, Repair, and Rehabilitation of Concrete Pavements

April 22-24, 2009, St. Louis, MO

The conference will provide a forum to address concrete pavement preservation, repair, and rehabilitation activities that result in safer, smoother, and longer lasting concrete pavements. Topics will include optimizing concrete pavement preservation strategies, alternate delivery methods for projects, traffic management considerations, repair material and equipment requirements, and forensic investigations.
