Transportation Operations Research and Development (R&D) Update, is the quarterly publication of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Operations R&D. The Update is a convenient way to learn more about transportation operations research being conducted by FHWA and to identify opportunities to collaborate with FHWA on ongoing efforts. The Update highlights current research projects in the FHWA office of Operations R&D, as well as recent or upcoming publications, presentations, and events. It provides contact information for FHWA staff leading these activities so that readers can learn more. It also covers recent activities at and upgrades to the Saxton Transportation Operations Laboratory at Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center in McLean, VA.
The NDEC Newsletter is the newsletter of the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Center. The FHWA NDE Center was established in 1998. The objective of the NDE Center is to improve the state of the practice for highway bridge inspection. The NDE Center is a resource for State transportation agencies, industry, and academia involved in the development and testing of innovative NDE technologies. The NDE Center provides State highway agencies with independent evaluation and validation of NDE technologies, develops new NDE technologies, and provides technical assistance to States exploring the use of these advanced technologies. The NDE Center uses a series of unique resources to assess the factors affecting the reliability and performance of NDE systems.
Publication of the Research & Technology Transporter was a Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) research and technology publication issued under the FHWA's Research and Technology Program. The 8-page newsletter communicated research and technology-based developments from FHWA program offices to engineers in the field and professionals in the industry. This publication ended with the September 2006 issue. The past issues from years 1996 to 2006 are available online.
The LTPP Newsletter is part of the Federal Highway Administration's Long-Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) Program. The Newsletter is published quarterly to inform you about the progress and activities of the program. Brief updates on progress in important program activities are provided, including data collection, data releases, new products and publications, pooled fund studies, and data analysis.

The AMS Biannual Update – Analysis, modeling, and simulation (AMS) helps Federal Highway Administration and its State and local partners to support investment decisions for the transportation system. This biannual AMS Update will be distributed via email and on this website. Potential Users include traffic operations engineers, simulation engineers, and State departments of transportation.
