We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 2011 WVDOT/MPO/FHWA Transportation Planning Conference.  The conference will be held at the Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, WV and will begin at 12:30 pm on September 20th and conclude at noon on September 22nd.  Registration will begin at 9:30 am on September 20th. We have an exciting agenda planned that we hope you will find stimulating and informative.

The conference fee is $50 for all non-government attendees who are not presenting at the conference.  This fee includes the cost of the cookout on Wednesday evening.  Please make the check out to the West Virginia Division of Highways, and mail it to the address listed on the form below.

Rooms can be reserved at the Resort at Glade Springs with a room rate of $89 per night plus tax.  The telephone number for reservations is (877) 496-1781.  Please reference the conference name when making reservations.

As has been the tradition in years past, there will be a cookout on Wednesday, September 21st. In addition, we are also planning a special evening on the first day with a dinner banquet and speaker. The speaker will be a renowned Thomas Jefferson impersonator. Many of you may have seen him at other conferences throughout the United States and most recently he read the Declaration of Independence with Peter Nero & The Philly POPS in front of Independence Hall and then again with “Ben Franklin” and “John Adams” in front of the National Archives in Washington D.C. 

All meals will be provided beginning with dinner on the first day (the dinner banquet) and ending with breakfast on the final day.  Non-WVDOH employees will need to indicate on the registration form which meals they plan on participating in as the cost of the meals will be billed to their room charges.  The cost of each meal is shown on the registration form.  Since we are required to give Glade Springs a guaranteed number of participants for each meal by September 12th, non-WVDOH attendees who cancel after that date will still be responsible for incurring the cost of the meals for which they signed up to participate in. WVDOH employees who attend the conference will not be allowed to include any meal that is provided on their expense forms.
