Subject: Heat Straightening Repair of Damaged Steel Bridge Members
The Ministry of Transportation, Ontario will be hosting the FHWA Demonstration Workshop, Heat Straightening Repair of Damaged Steel Bridge Members.
Through the use of videos, slides, an interactive computer program and a field demonstration, the following information will be presented:
The two-day workshop will be held on November 16 and 17, 2004. It is scheduled to start at 9:30 AM on November 16. The classroom portion will be held at the Travelodge Hotel, 2737 Keele Street, Toronto, Ontario. The laboratory portion will be held nearby, at the Reservoir Building of the Ministry of Transportation's Downsview Complex, 1201 Wilson Avenue. There is no charge for the workshop and meals will be provided. However, attendees will be responsible for all other expenses including hotel accommodations, and travel to the venue.Also, please bring dark coloured sunglasses or goggles and safety equipment, including boots and hardhat, to the laboratory session.
If you are a consultant and are involved in work for the Ministry in the category of complex structures and wish to attend the workshop, please complete the attached registration form by September 30, 2004. Space for non-Ministry attendees is limited, so register early. The Ministry will invite other prospective attendees directly.
