- With the exception of the set-aside amounts for Alaska, New Jersey and Washington for the NHS, all FY2004 available FBD funds were designated for specific projects by Congress in the conference report accompanying the FY2004 Transportation Appropriations Act (Division F of Public Law 108-199).
- SAFETEA-LU authorized $38 million for FBD for FY 2004. After the 0.59% across-the-board rescission in Section 168(b) of Division H of the FY 2004 Consolidated Appropriations Act (Public Law 108-199), the 5.4% reduction for the FY2004 obligation limitation lop-off under Section 110(e) of Division F of Public Law 108-199, and the required $20 million set-aside ($19.882M after the 0.59% rescission) for Alaska, New Jersey, and Washington in TEA-21 Section 1207(b)(3), $15,853,907 is available for these designated projects. All of these projects were designated for funding in the Statement of Managers of the conference report (H.Rept. 108-401) accompanying Public Law 108-199.
- These set-aside amounts for Alaska, New Jersey, and Washington are required under the provisions of Section 1207(b)(3) of TEA-21.
- The funds for this project have been allotted to the Federal Lands Highways Office, at the request of the State.
- The funds for this project have been allotted to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) at the request of the State.
