PENNDOT's Approach to Data Integration: description
The illustration shows the organization of PENNDOT's Data Integration approach. There are three main modules: Strategic Integration; Legacy System Rewrites; and Technical Integration. The Strategic Integration module includes two subsections, Technical and Institutional. The Technical subsection includes Information Technology Strategic Plan and Geographic Information Systems Strategic Plan. The Institutional subsection includes Asset Management Concept Plan and Asset Management Strategic Plan.
The Legacy System Rewrites module includes three submodules: Maintenance; Roadway; and Bridge. The Maintenance submodule includes MySAP Initiative (Statewide), MySAP Plant Maintenance Study, MySAP Implementation, and Customize MORIS. The Roadway submodule includes RMS Reengineering, RMS Design, and RMS Development. The Bridge submodule includes RMS Reengineering, RMS Design, and RMS Development.
The Technical Integration module includes Enterprise Linear Referencing System, Suite of Integrated Data Applications, and Enterprise Data Architecture.
