Description The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and Dodge County were selected as recipients of an AID Demonstration grant to deploy the Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil – Integrated Bridge System (GRS-IBS) coupled with Wisconsin’s new generation Precast Box Section (PBES) Superstructure as a complete Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) system on two locally owned bridges in Wisconsin. Local bridge owners will have the opportunity to see first-hand the benefit of time and cost savings as well as safety advantages of a complete ABC system. The two local bridges are in close proximity to each other and will provide an opportunity to showcase substructure and superstructure technologies during a single showcase to 72 Wisconsin county highway departments, various other municipalities, design consultants, and construction contractors.
