Snowmobile Safety Information
The International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association (ISMA), in cooperation with the snowmobiling community is again pleased to support the Safe Riders! You make snowmobiling safe!TM safety campaign. The campaign features the Safe Riders! You make snowmobiling safe!TM safety training video. The 22-minute safety video is a wonderful adjunct support piece for safety trainers. The safety video includes a 30-second Positive Image PSA.
The Campaign Action Manual is on the ISMA web site, www.snowmobile.org. All of the posters, printed public service announcements, line-art drawings of the posters, and logos can be downloaded from the website. Please use the Safe Riders! logo on your publications or handouts. There are fun family photos on the site - ready for downloading and your use. The www.GoSnowmobiling.org website has been updated and expanded.
FHWA and USFS Reports
I am sorry to report that we ran out of trail-related reports at the FHWA Report Center. The Report Center received several very large orders from Pakistan, and filled the requests. We don't know why there were so many large orders in a short time period, or how the people ordering the reports from Pakistan expected to use them. The FHWA Office of Highway Safety also had a run on its documents.
We had put on the form: "Orders to addresses outside the United States are limited to one copy per address". But it looks like there have been excessive orders from within the USA as well: especially if people within the USA are selling them. But right now, nothing is available except the new Mountain Bike DVD.
