Project Description

The project replaces four bridges in Tallahatchie, Yalobusha and Attala Counties in poor condition, of which one is load-restricted. The project will replace US49 over Hopson Bayou, MS7 over Cypress Creek, MS35 Bridge over Bokshenya Creek and MS35 Bridge over Little Conehoma Creek. The bridges represent vital connections to the region’s economic activities.

Project Benefits

The project improves four bridges in poor condition to good. The project improves the overall condition of transportation infrastructure and maintains access to life services for residents. It will benefit the region’s economic activities by improving access to rural Mississippi.
