E-Z Pass is the Nation's first electronic toll collection system. E-Z Pass cuts travel times, saves fuel, reduces air pollution, and reduces waiting time at toll booths. It has been implemented on numerous toll facilities including bridges, tunnels, and highways. The volume of traffic through the E-Z Pass lanes is double or triple that of the conventional staffed lanes.
