• Community Impact Mitigation: Case Studies (1998) - These five major projects involved essential transportation links but were having unique social issues delaying project development and implementation. Each case study captured the interest of FHWA HQ and received technical assistance to advance the project. Each explains the situation, a chronology, who the players were, the mitigation measures involved, and lessons learned.
• Community Impact Assessment: Strategic Plan - In 1999, the FDOT, in cooperation with FHWA, developed the Community Impact Assessment: Strategic Plan pamphlet for transportation managers to promote the importance of CIA in transportation decisionmaking within their respective organizations.
