Project Management Plans
The Project Management Plan (PMP) provides guidance on the implementation of a project, clearly designating assumptions and decisions regarding management processes, approvals, dispute resolutions and overall project control. The key purpose of the PMP is to define the roles and responsibilities of the relevant parties, procedures and processes that will result in the project's successful completion - on-time, within budget, with a high degree of quality, and in a safe manner and a transparent process in which the public trust, support and confidence in the project is maintained.
A project that is receiving federal assistance must submit a PMP to the FHWA if it is designated as a Major Project.
